What’s on at the BTRC

We have a growing array of regular community events, aimed at supporting the whole trans community and those who support it. We now host over half of the trans organisations in Northern Ireland for regular social events, and are excited to welcome everyone through our door!

Christmas at the BTRC

Whether you need a chat, a cuppa, or just a place to go, the Belfast Trans Resource Centre is open to all this Christmas. Come down and keep us company this holiday season!

Community Drop-In DayCommunity Drop-In Day

Our Centre is open every Wednesday from 12pm – 6pm for anyone who wants to come down for support, a chat, or just to see what we’re about!

GenderJam Social MeetupGenderJam Social Meetups

GenderJam runs twice-monthly social meetups at the BTRC, open to all trans, non-binary, questioning and intersex people aged 25 and under.

Non-Binary NINon-Binary Northern Ireland

Non-Binary Northern Ireland meets regularly on the first Sunday of every month from 3 – 7pm, and on the last Wednesday from 6pm – 9pm. Our events are open to anyone who identifies under the non-binary umbrella, including gender questioning people. Ages 16+ welcome, and if it’s your first time, feel free to bring a friend!

Young Adults GroupYoung Adults’ Social Meetup

We run monthly meetups for young trans adults aged 21 – 35 years old on the 4th Saturday of the month, Much like GenderJam meetups, these are relaxed social spaces open to trans, non-binary, questioning & intersex people. Pop in anytime for a cup of tea and a yarn!

The age range here is flexible – if you’re within a couple of years of the limits you’re still very welcome!

The BTRC community roomTrans Adults’ Meetup

We run a monthly get-together for trans adults (18+) on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in the evenings. Open to all, this is a relaxed and friendly social meetup – pop down anytime for some tea and a chat with lovely people!

  • 7:30pm – 9:30pm
  • Open to all trans, non-binary and questioning people aged 18+.

Tabletop TransTabletop Trans

We run regular tabletop gaming sessions for trans, non-binary and questioning people aged 16+, and their friends! Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned Dungeons & Dragons® expert, feel free to pop down and play!

We run two events a month, one on a weekday evening, and the other on a weekend daytime.

Arts & Crafts GroupTrans Arts & Crafts Group

Open to all trans, non-binary and questioning people aged 16 and up, the monthly Trans Arts & Crafts Group is a lovely evening of casual arts & crafts of all types! Come along as a novice or an expert and spend a few hours painting, sculpting, sketching or doing whatever you please with arts & crafts. Drop in event – pop in whenever you like during the session!

  • 3rd Thursday of the month
  • 6pm – 9pm
  • Some materials & tools available free of charge – get in touch if you have any specific requests!

Rainbow Project logoTrans & Non-Binary Sexual Health Clinic

Drop-in rapid HIV & Syphilis testing clinic specifically for transgender and non-binary individuals happening at the Belfast Trans Resource Centre every second Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm – 8pm.

Each appointment takes roughly half an hour – with results coming back within ten minutes!

It’s first come, first served but if you’re travelling from outside of Belfast please call (028 90 319 030) text (079 04 864 861) or e-mail (leo@rainbow-project.org) to reserve a space.

Sex-positive, non-judgmental & confidential testing will be facilitated by Leo Lardie, Sexual Health Development Officer for Rainbow Project and transgender man.

Alongside rapid HIV & syphilis testing we’ll be able to provide you with free condoms & lube and advice on how to maintain your sexual health.

Please note that testing is only available to those aged eighteen and over, but under eighteens may access free safer sex materials and advice on their sexual health.

Video Games NightVideo Games Nights

A monthly video games night runs for all trans, non-binary and questioning people. Open to novices and pros alike!
